Extended Day Program These programs provide a safe and happy place for children to further increase their social and learning experiences. They also help prepare a child for a longer elementary day. Extended Day Program This is an extension of social opportunities for Woolly Bears and Chickadees involved with occasional organized activities. Four units of the Extended Day Program are available: Sept-Dec; Jan-Feb; Mar-Apr; and May-June. A drop-in option is available for this program depending on space availability. The program consists of: Recess - outdoor time to play with peers and get some exercise Lunch - a time to eat and enjoy each other's company in an informal setting followed by clean up. Quiet Time - an informal library opportunity to listen to a story, read a book or hear music Activity Time - a varied program that may include art projects, gymnastics, a hike through the woods, outside play, or dramatics, among others. Enrichment Program This is an extension of the school day with a selected monthly theme. Art, music, movement, and literature based on this theme will be included. A drop-in option is not available for this program. Enrichment has monthly enrollment from Oct to May. It is available to Mighty Oaks and Tadpoles on Tuesday, and to Woolly Bears, Chickadees, and Puffins on Wednesday.
